100% Volunteer, 100% Professional, 24/7
The East Millstone First Aid Squad provides Basic Life Support (BLS) Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to Franklin Township and Millstone Boro. We are an all volunteer organization, 100% supported by donations. We do not charge for our services which we provide 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year (sometimes 366!). 2008 marks the start of our sixty-first year of service and we are still going strong.
We are always looking for new members to join us, click here for details.
We are dispatched by the Franklin Township Police Department for calls in Franklin Township and Somerset County Emergency Services Dispatchers for calls in Millstone Boro. We are members of the NJ State First Aid Council's Fifth District.
In 2007 we responded to 674 calls. 362 of those were medical emergencies, 208 traumatic injuries and 48 fire department support. On 102 calls the paramedics treated the patients. We responded to 20 mutual aid calls for our fellow volunteer squads and 159 mutual aid calls for the paid squad. We put 10,259 miles on our rigs and our volunteers put in 3,500 hours of service responding to these calls. 2007 continued the trend of ever increasing requests for service. 2008 so far looks like it will continue this trend.
